Do you know that Fox News live stream is the most watched news channels in America? Fox News live stream has been around since 1996 and the news channel has grown dramatically since then. According to the current Nielsen Ratings it has overtaken all other major news networks including: CNN and MSNBC.
Fox News first launched on October 7, 1996 as an alternative to the liberal CNN news channel. The Fox News live stream channel was created by Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who hired former Republican Party media consultant and CNBC executive Roger Ailes as its founding CEO. In February 1996, after former U.S. Republican Party political strategist and NBC executive Roger Ailes left cable television channel America’s Talking (now MSNBC), Murdoch asked him to start Fox News Channel.
Fox News has grown since the late 1990s and 2000s to become a dominant cable news network in the United States. Rupert Murdoch is the current chairman and acting CEO of Fox News.
Some left-leaning critics have described Fox News as having a right-leaning perspective in most of it’s news stories. It is no secret that the left-right struggle of American politics have spilled into the media. Cable news stations such as Fox News may have indeed (according to the left) began leaning more and more to the right. This political lean may also be true of the competition such as CNN and MSNBC which (according to the right) may be leaning more and more to the left everyday. Fox News has recently lost one of it’s long time anchors Sheppard Smith who is known for showing his left leaning views on his Fox News show.
During the election cycle of 2016 Fox News has gained a larger audience due in part to the phenomenon of Donald Trump. Trump’s popularity on both sides of the political isle has driven many new viewers to Fox News as well as to it’s competitors such as CNN and MSNBC.
The loss of highly popular hosts like Bill Oreily or Eric Bolling, due to scandals, has not changed the ratings of the news station, in fact it appears the channel has become even more popular since.
Currently, shows such as Tucker Carlson and Hannity have been the main dirving force for the increased viewership during primetime, as well as Fox & Friends in the morning of which President Trump is a regular caller.
